EDIFICIO MIRADOR

Designed by MVRDV and Blanca Lleó

Emblematic building of the Madrid town of Sanchinarro. It is a building of postmodern architecture. It was developed by the Dutch architecture studio MVRDV in collaboration with the Madrid architect Blanca Lleó. The project must include 156 apartments.

It is a 63.4 meter high building (21 floors) with homes. The most striking thing about it is the large central opening that is 36.8 meters from the ground. There is a community garden and wide views of the Guadarrama mountain range, a fact that gives its name to the construction.

The idea of the project is that this building represents a traditional block of an expansion but placed in a vertical position, so the intermediate terrace is equivalent to the block patio and the variety of colors on the façade and housing typologies are due to the diversity that It is located in a traditional apple.
